Burnt fur stinks terrible, so skin’em first. Then quarter a few cottontails, swampers, or tame rabbits. (Substitute chicken or duck if you can’t catch a rabbit)

Marinade rabbits in your favorite solution while sipping on your favorite cold brew. Italian dressing, white wine, or apple cider work well….For the marinade – not the sippin’….well, maybe the wine.

When the fire’s ready dry the rabbits with paper towels or your shirttail, then rub with garlic and olive oil… or butter… or hog fat.

Sprinkle with a little seasoned salt or dry rub mixture and place on grill or campfire rack. (Low heat)

Baste with leftover marinade and turn as necessary during grilling. (Use tongs, don’t puncture) Or, if you have a spit over the fire, you could just leave ‘em whole and turn the spit now and then.

Continue sippin and telling tall tales till done.

Don’t know how many this’ll feed, cause we’re always looking for some more when it’s all gone…….
